Queensland project marketing agency MOTIV has officially planted its flag on the Gold Coast, opening a second South-East Queensland office with a night that brought together the people shaping the region’s property market.
The launch event saw a mix of industry leaders including developers, architects, project partners and consultants from across the region come together, reflecting MOTIV’s growing influence beyond Brisbane. Over the past six years, the agency has evolved from a boutique Brisbane-based operation into one of the region’s most prominent off-the-plan specialists.
Founder and Managing Director Carly Cottam said the expansion marked a significant milestone for the business, and for the market itself.

“Opening our second office in South-East Queensland marks an important step in MOTIV’s journey. It’s about more than growth - it’s about deepening our connection with developers and buyers across the region and continuing to shape the future of off-the-plan sales in one of Australia’s most dynamic markets.”
The decision to establish a permanent Gold Coast base came after three years of rising demand, driven by Brisbane clients shifting focus south and a surge in referral work. MOTIV now manages a $2.2 billion portfolio across the Gold Coast.
“The Gold Coast has transformed from a boom-and-bust market into a self-sustaining ecosystem,” Cottam said.
“It’s driven by professionals, families and downsizers choosing the lifestyle, connectivity and design this region offers. That shift has created a highly competitive, highly emotive market, and our growth reflects that.”

The Gold Coast office will be led by MOTIV’s senior leadership team, supported by specialist off-the-plan agents with local, interstate and international experience, alongside operations and integrated marketing staff. Cottam said the move was about capability and proximity, not just expansion.
“This isn’t about being bigger - it’s about being sharper and closer to the markets we influence,” she said.
The launch evening underscored MOTIV’s role as a connector in the industry, bringing together key players in a celebration of growth, collaboration and shared momentum. Guests praised the energy of the room and the calibre of attendees.

“This milestone belongs just as much to our partners and collaborators as it does to MOTIV,” Cottam said.
“Celebrating with the people shaping the future of the Gold Coast felt essential.”
With a strategic presence in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, MOTIV is positioned to lead the next wave of South-East Queensland development. The agency has recently launched Sandpiper and Camilla on the Gold Coast, with Palmiere in Palm Beach set to follow before year-end, and a further three projects scheduled to launch in Brisbane in the first quarter of next year. Combining local insight, industry expertise, and marketing innovation, MOTIV continues to shape the region’s off-the-plan landscape.
